This course introduces the mathematical basis of linear-time invariant systems using block diagrams, Laplace transforms, and transfer functions. Students will learn about methods to quantify and manipulate transients and damping, steady state operation, and stability of systems.
Prerequisites
The course is intended as a senior-level engineering course and requires knowledge of circuit analysis from ENGR 350 to successfully solve many of the problems. Additionally, the problems the students are solving are modeled as differential equations, so a knowledge of differential equations from MATH 320 is necessary.
