Music Arranging is an introduction to arranging existing music into performable, original settings on printed or written sheet music. Class time will generally consist of the following: listening to original music followed by a unique arrangement, then followed by class discussion on the strengths of the arrangement; melodic and harmonic dictation; lectures on part writing, instrumental/choral approaches, and other techniques in arranging.
