This course provides an overview of the role of the humanities (history, literature, religion, philosophy, the arts, etc.) in addressing environmental issues, with special focus on social justice. Addresses topics such as: wilderness and Indigenous rights; oil, petroculture, and plastics; food, labor, and race; and the environmental movement.
