This course examines human health from an evolutionary perspective, highlighting how our evolutionary history shapes patterns of disease and susceptibility. Students will explore core concepts in evolutionary biology, including molecular evolution, human evolution, life history theory, and evolutionary-developmental biology, and learn how these principles provide critical insights into health and disease.
